10-12 Dec 2024 In Tallinn (Estonia) & Kotka (Finland)

Presentation

The symposium is a continuation of the previous BALTICSEAS conferences. The BALTIC SEAS project is supported by an international network of researchers connected to the DEVPORT project. In May 2018, the first international conference was held in Klaipeda, Lithuania, in close collaboration with the Lithuanian Maritime Academy and the SEFACIL foundation, which continues to support the project. It has been followed by three editions, one in Turku (Finland), another between the Latvian and Lithuanian capitals, and the most recent in 2022 in Klaipeda and Kaunas (Lithuania), which were devoted to geopolitical issues. This conference cycle has become a benchmark in the Baltic region, with the results freely available in French, English, and other languages. The fifth edition will focus on transitions, integrating a new academic partner, South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences.
